The Founders
Lessnz was born from the meeting of two worlds: music and pedagogy, and systems and product architecture. A Grammy-winning musician and a seasoned product leader came together to build the operating system for music education—a platform engineered with the same precision and respect found in the craft of music itself.
Tony Cruz
Co-Founder — Product & Systems
Tony is a veteran product leader and systems architect who has spent his career designing intuitive, human-centered technology in highly complex domains. After years of watching educators struggle with outdated tools and fragmented workflows, he recognized an opportunity to bring modern product thinking to music education.
At Lessnz, Tony leads product strategy, platform architecture, and AI-driven systems engineering. He translates big ideas into elegant, scalable solutions—ensuring the technology feels effortless for teachers, students, and administrators alike. His approach combines deep technical expertise with a relentless focus on clarity, simplicity, and user experience.
Kyle Swan
Co-Founder — Music & Pedagogy
Kyle is a Grammy-winning drummer, educator, and curriculum designer whose teaching career spans classrooms, conservatories, private studios, and world tours. Across every environment, he saw the same problem: brilliant educators were spending more time managing tools, notes, and logistics than actually teaching.
This frustration became the spark for Lessnz. With decades of experience in pedagogy, student development, and music mentorship, Kyle shapes the educational philosophy behind the platform. He ensures Lessnz supports real classroom needs, empowers teachers, and creates a pathway for students to grow with confidence and joy.
Our Mission
To give music educators beautifully simple systems that remove administrative burden, strengthen student engagement, and preserve pedagogical integrity as we build the world’s first fully automated studio administration engine.
Our Design Principles
Clean & Academic
Interfaces should feel spacious, intentional, and free of visual noise.
Artistic Simplicity
The UI mirrors the balance of music: expressive but not chaotic.
Cognitive Flow
Every interaction should reduce friction and make the next step obvious.
